By now many of you have heard the hype behind the dress Michelle Obama wore on the view. It is a Donna Ricco Banded Waist Sleeveless Dress in black and white. Stores are sold out of this dress -- that's how popular it has become! The funny thing is the dress isn't some obscure or new design that no one has seen before. It is classically Michelle Obama -- chic, simple, clean lines and well tailored.
It makes me giggle just a little bit because it is a dress most of us could make with our eyes closed!
If you would like to buy the dress on back order.. Nordstrom has it for just under $100.
If you would like to knock this out yourself check out..

Yep, the sewing world has gone crazy over this dress.I love it too lol.
Loved the dress on Michelle, but I'm totally burned out from all of the hype. I'll be passing on this one. :)
I loved the dress too! I thought it was very classy. Kind of like something you would see in an old fashioned movie. If you really like the way Michelle strides in style, then you will love how Bianca runs the show.
I’m currently working with Toyota and I’m really hyped to spread the word about our new interactive webisodes, If Looks Could Kill. They follow an aspiring fashion assistant, Bianca Turner (played by Femi Emiola, Wicked Wicked Games), who is a prime example of a woman who’s got it going on. I’m talking the dream job, a man who’s got all the ladies drooling, and the spice to keep it all together when hell hits the fan. Think James Bond meets Sanaa Lathan in “Something New”, Bianca is the girl who isn’t afraid to run in her Louboutin heels!

You’ll have to see what I’m talking about. Don’t forget to check out the third episode—To Paris With Love—which is available today (6/30). This girl is definitely a ride or die chick, especially when it comes to daddy’s little girl! She’s kind of like today’s Foxy Brown, don’t you think? You’ve probably already been reeled in so don’t stop now.
I hope I didn’t overstep my bounds by directly contacting you. After viewing your blog and seeing how hip to the game you are when it comes to what’s hot and current, I figured this would be something that would catch your interest.
Looking forward to the girl talk!

Ms. Obama looked so nice in that dress. You are so right about how simple it is to make that dress.
I definitely like Ms. Obama's style, but I love the fact that I can have the same dress for under 25 bucks. Your list of possible choice is excellent; I've made M5094 twice already.
